The History of Heesen Yachts
Heesen Yachts was founded in 1978 by Frans Heesen in Oss, Netherlands. From the outset the shipyard focused on combining engineering innovation with elegant yacht design — quickly gaining recognition for aluminium hull construction in large superyachts, a pioneering approach at the time.
Over more than four decades Heesen has delivered over 200 custom superyachts, ranging from performance-focused aluminium builds to large steel displacement vessels.
