Our story

About People, Trust and the Long Run

Yachting is about far more than buying or selling a boat. We walk alongside our clients through every chapter of ownership: the first purchase, the custom build, the refit, the sale. And we do what we say we are going to do.

That is a boutique firm’s advantage. You are never one account among hundreds, and the broker who takes your first call is the one at the closing table.

“I founded Aspire to offer something rare in today’s market: true personal service, from our first conversation to long after the deal is done.”

How we work

The Boutique Difference, in Practice

When we act for both sides

On a boat we list, the buyer and the seller are both ours. We say so in writing before anyone offers, we deal straight with both parties, we do not carry one side’s negotiating position to the other, and the commission does not change because of it.

Our job in that position is a deal both people are content with. A broker who squeezes one party to please the other has one sale and no reputation. If you would rather have separate representation, say so and we will arrange it, inside the firm or outside it.

Where we’re based

Based in Florida, the Bahamas and Puerto Rico. Working Worldwide.

Our brokers live and work in these harbors, and we prefer to take listings within reasonable traveling distance of one of them. A yacht sells better when her broker is aboard for every showing.

Questions

Frequently Asked

How long has Aspire Yacht Sales been in business?

Aspire was founded in 2020 by John Booysen, a yacht broker who has also worked as a full-time captain, so the firm was started by somebody who has run the kind of boats it sells.

Where is Aspire Yacht Sales located?

Our office is at 1728 N Dixie Hwy, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33305, with brokers based in Miami, Palm Beach, Jupiter, Cape Coral, the Bahamas and Puerto Rico. We prefer to take listings within reasonable traveling distance of one of us, because a yacht sells better when her broker is aboard for every showing rather than handing over a key.

Is Aspire an IYBA member?

Yes. Aspire is a full member of the International Yacht Brokers Association, which gives us MLS access and reciprocal sales arrangements with brokerages worldwide.

What kinds of yachts does Aspire sell?

Motor yachts, sportfish, express cruisers and trawlers, across more than 200 builders and up to 145 feet. Size is not the test: we take smaller boats too, from around $100,000 upwards.

Does it cost anything to list my yacht with Aspire?

No. Aspire pays for the photography, video, drone footage and listing distribution up front. The commission is due only when your yacht sells.

Buying, or Selling?

Either way, the first conversation is with a broker, not a form.
