9 Astondoa yachts currently listed from 53′ to 92′, $569K to $7M. Aspire Yacht Sales brokers Astondoa across South Florida, the Keys and the Bahamas , and we will tell you which ones are worth seeing.
Astondoa began in 1916 when Jesús and José Astondoa Martínez started building rowing boats and traineras in a carpenter's workshop at Portugalete. The company moved to Santa Pola in 1978 and is still run by the family, now in its fourth generation - the oldest continuously family-owned yard in Spain, with more than 3,000 boats behind it.
It made the transition from wood to composite and then upward in size, and now builds flybridge and open motor yachts through to superyachts. A century of continuity is worth something concrete to a buyer: the yard is still there to answer questions about a boat it built twenty years ago, which is not true of most of the names on the brokerage market at this size.
