9 Bertram yachts currently listed from 51′ to 67′, $420K to $3M. Aspire Yacht Sales brokers Bertram across South Florida, the Keys and the Bahamas , and we will tell you which ones are worth seeing.
Bertram was founded in 1960 by Richard Bertram, a Miami yacht broker and offshore racer. His 31-foot Moppie, built on a deep-V hull by designer C. Raymond Hunt, won the stormy 1960 Miami–Nassau race, and the production Bertram 31 that followed brought that hull form to recreational buyers. Whittaker Corporation bought the company in 1968, and after a 1992 bankruptcy it was owned by Italy's Ferretti Group from 1998.
The Gavio Group, another Italian company, bought Bertram from Ferretti in 2015, and the boats are now built in Tampa, Florida. The current range covers center consoles and flybridge sportfish models. Older Bertrams, including the 31, often come to market after restoration or repowering, so the quality of that work matters as much as the hull design.
