About Delta Marine
Ivor and Jack Jones were racers - flat-bottom boats, world records - who started building on Seattle's Duwamish River in 1967. The work was commercial: tough fiberglass fishing vessels for the Bering Sea and the Gulf of Alaska, where a boat either holds together or it does not. That is the foundation everything else at Delta rests on.
Owners of those boats began asking for something they could cruise, and by the 1990s Delta was building custom superyachts exclusively - in advanced composite, which at that size is rare and is Delta's particular expertise. More than 600 vessels have been delivered across commercial and private work, 52 of them yachts, and the Jones family still owns and runs the yard. Every boat is a one-off, built for real distance; the expedition yachts in particular are among the most genuinely capable ever built in America.
