15 Lagoon yachts currently listed from 40′ to 62′, $399K to $2M. Aspire Yacht Sales brokers Lagoon across South Florida, the Keys and the Bahamas , and we will tell you which ones are worth seeing.
Lagoon was created in 1984 as the multihull division of Jeanneau. It later passed to Construction Navale Bordeaux (CNB), which Groupe Beneteau bought in 1995, and it has been part of that group ever since. Marc Van Peteghem and Vincent Lauriot-Prévost of the VPLP design firm have long drawn Lagoon's boats. Models under 50 feet are built in the Vendée region, and larger ones at the CNB yard in Bordeaux.
Lagoon concentrates on cruising sailing catamarans, most offered in both charter and owner layouts, and it has also built power catamarans such as the Power 43 and Power 44. With roughly 6,000 boats built, used Lagoons are widely available. Because many are built for charter, buyers should find out whether a boat was privately owned or in a fleet, and review its maintenance and repair history accordingly.
