Neptunus began in the Netherlands in 1970 and moved its building to Ontario in 1989. The yard sits on seven acres at St. Catharines near the Welland Canal, 72,000 square feet, and turns out around fifteen boats a year - which is the whole character of the company. At that rate every hull gets attention, and owners routinely change layouts, finishes and systems.

Three sizes, roughly 55 to 75 feet, each offered as an open flybridge, a closed express or a skylounge. What you notice aboard is Dutch: the joinery, the way the engine room is laid out, the quality of the hardware. They are quiet, they are fast enough, and they are built for cold-water durability, which matters rather less in Florida but does no harm. Small production numbers mean they come up rarely and the good ones sell to people who already knew what they wanted.
