About Schaefer
Márcio Schaefer started building in the early 1990s at São José, in Santa Catarina, under the name Kiwi Boats; the first was a 19-footer. The Phantom 235 four years later was the first to carry his own name, and Phantom is still what the Brazilian-market boats are called. More than three thousand have followed and the yard, now at Florianópolis, is comfortably the largest in Brazil.
The boats are sport yachts and flybridges from about 30 to 83 feet, styled with a confidence that reads as Italian and built for warm-water use throughout - big cockpits, serious air conditioning, hardtops as standard. They have been sold into the United States for some years now and represent unusually good value for the specification. Check that the boat was built to US spec and that the electrical system suits where she will lie.
