About This Yacht

Island Time 2012 Leopard 44 Catamaran - PRICE REDUCTION

4 Cabin / 4 Head | On the Hard For Hurricane Season - St. Augustine, FL

Major Refit & Re-Power Completed 2024–2025

The Leopard 44 is one of the most proven bluewater cruising catamarans of its generation. Produced by Robertson and Caine under the Leopard Catamarans brand, the 44 was engineered for durability and long-range passage-making. Its wide beam, four-cabin symmetrical layout, and robust construction made it a benchmark in the 40–45 foot performance cruising catamaran segment. Hulls from this model are well-regarded for their structural integrity, and the model's large charter fleet history means parts, service, and owner knowledge are widely available worldwide. The Leopard 44 is a serious offshore capable vessel with comfortable liveaboard accommodations.

This particular 2012 Leopard 44 has been comprehensively refit over 2024 and 2025, representing a turn-key bluewater cruiser. The most significant investment was a full re-power in 2024 with new Yanmar 4JH45 engines and SD-60 sail drives, paired with Flexifold props — eliminating the highest-cost risk associated with any used catamaran purchase. New standing rigging, updated electronics, a rebuilt sail plan, and a full lithium battery bank with solar round out the systems upgrades. The vessel is currently cruising the Bahamas. and is expected to return to St. Augustine, Florida by May 28th. A buyer can take delivery of a genuinely ready-to-cruise yacht without the time and expense of a refit. Island Time is DUTY PAID and the 7501 statement will transfer with the sale.

This boat is open to co-brokerage. This seller has chosen to compensate a buyer's broker at 4% of the contract price.

The vessel received a complete re-power in 2024 performed by Just Cats in Florida. Both engines are new Yanmar 4JH45 units rated at 45hp each, mated to SD-60 sail drives. Flexifold folding propellers were fitted at the same time, improving sailing performance by reducing drag under sail. Hours on both engines are low post re-power. New rudder bearings were also installed in 2024. The windlass was removed, serviced, reinstalled with a new mounting plate in 2025, and a spare windlass motor is included with the boat. No bow or stern thrusters are fitted.

The electronics suite was substantially upgraded in 2024 and centers on a Raymarine 12" Axiom Pro chartplotter. The full suite includes:

- Raymarine 12" Axiom Pro MFD

- Raymarine AIS700 transceiver

- Starlink Gen2 satellite internet, mounted on solar arch

- Victron Color Control GX system monitor

Electrical & Comfort Systems

The vessel runs a full lithium electrical system with substantial solar generation capacity. Key components:

In the 3 years of near full-time cruising since upgrading the solar and battery system, only 210 hour have been added to the generator. Whether she's in The Bahamas or Maine the solar generation and energy management aboard Island Time proves to have practical forethought in every upgrade.
